Hello everyone,

Happy December!

Thanks to all students who are learning with DreamBox at home! Some are doing a fantastic job.  We chose DreamBox as there are several studies documenting  strong gains students have made, parent engagement increases and  student confidence rises.  We want that for our Alligators.  If you have not completed the survey please take a few minutes to do so now.  Alpine PS – DreamBox use at Home I am aware there have been some challenges with getting connected and logged in – thanks for persisting when possible.  We are running a DreamBox club to support students without access at home – of the 30 respondents to the survey 6 do not have access.

It is time once again for our community to come together in supporting the local food bank.  Mrs. Fairhurst and several students have decorated the tree and got the donation boxes ready and Ms Hughes class is planning our kick-off assembly for this Friday.  If you are able to give, we thank you.  If you are in need, we hope that some of our donations will reach your home.

The parking lot is closed for student drop off or pick up during arrival and dismissal times.  The driveway is a fire route and parking is prohibited at all times.  There have been several concerns brought to the office lately.  Your cooperation and respect of the safety rules are needed to keep our students safe.

Jersey Mike’s cards went home today.  Many of our families are unable to support this fundraiser.  If you can help us meet our goal of a 100% return rate by enjoying a $2 sub between Wednesday and Sunday this week and can commit to using more cards, please send a note in your child’s planner.  I plan to take my family out to enjoy a sub – no prep, no clean up and everyone gets to order just what they want!  We can do this!

Thanks for your continued support – Alpine is a great place to learn and grow!

Ms. Givlin
