Community Watch – We love when the community uses our playground and are very grateful to the vast majority who are very respectful. Recently 3 of our small trees have been damaged enough that they will need to be removed.  If you notice any inappropriate behavior after hours on school property, please call the police to report.  We take excellent care of our facility and expect all users to do the same.

Volunteer Gardener Needed – We are looking for a community gardener to care for our new bed along the driveway. Currently it needs compost, some loosening of the soil and weeding.  All expenses will be covered by the school.  If this is something you would enjoy doing to support our school, please contact Ms. Givlin in the office.

Safety Drills – In the next few days we will be practicing our safety drills including fire, tornado and lockdown/hold and secure/shelter in place.  Our goal is to get everyone outside and accounted for in 3 minutes for our fire drills!  We were so close last year!  These practices help us to ensure student safety in the event of a real emergency.

Communication – Please follow us on Twitter @alpwrdsb and on Instagram @alpinepublicschool.  We are very proud of the great learning and student engagement here at Alpine and invite you to follow us to keep up-to-date!

Thanks to all parents for returning the data forms promptly.

We appreciate the donations that have been coming in for Nutrition For Learning.  We had just done our school fundraiser for this program in June – this Toonie Campaign request came from Nutrition-For-Learning and went out to all schools.  All of the proceeds from our popcorn sales this year will go to N4L fulfilling our responsibility of one fundraiser per year. Your ongoing generosity is appreciated.

We had our welcome back assembly last week.  Ask your child about Ormie the pig  and how hard he tries.  At Alpine, we expect all of our Alligators to persevere and keep trying (aspiring) to be the best they can be!

Contact us if you have any questions or concerns or to celebrate learning!
