Welcome to Alpine Public School! Kindergarten registrations for the 2015/2016 school year will take place on the following days by appointment during school hours:

Tuesday, February 3, 2015 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Wednesday, February 4, 2015 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM

Please follow the points below to ensure a successful registration.

  1. Check the catchment area to ensure that your child can attend Alpine Public School. Please go to www.stswr.ca , click on the link titled, What school do I attend? and enter your address.
  2. Ensure your child is of age to attend school. If your child was born in 2011 he/she will be accepted into Junior Kindergarten, September 2015. If your child was born in 2010 and is starting school for the first time, he/she will be accepted into Senior Kindergarten, September 2015
  3. Call to book an appointment with the school secretary at 519-743-4338.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. What do I do after I have made an appointment? After you have booked an appointment, you will be asked to pick up a registration package at the main office prior to your appointment. If you are unable to pick up the package, please print and complete the Student Registration Form prior to your appointment.   New this year, the Region of Waterloo Public Health department Immunization Form will be completed on-line.  Please go to https://e-immunization.regionofwaterloo.ca/ to complete the form before September 2015. This will speed up the registration process and avoid long line ups!
  2. What documentation will I need to bring to the appointment? Proof of birth (i.e., birth certificate, passport, immigration card, baptismal certificate)* Proof of address (i.e., utility bill, lease agreement) Immunization Records *Please note that an Ontario Health Card is NOT acceptable for a proof of age.
  3. How long will the registration process take? The registration process should take approximately 15 minutes, provided that the registrations forms have been filled out prior to the appointment and the proper documentation has been submitted.
  4. Do I have to bring my child to the registration appointment? It is not necessary for your child to attend the registration appointment.
  5. May I send a family member to register my child? A family member can attend the registration appointment, provided that the registration forms have been signed by the custodial parent or legal guardian prior to the visit. The proper documentation (as listed above) must also be presented at the time of registration.
  6. When will my child be able to visit his/her new classroom/school? An orientation day will announced at a later date. The date will be posted on the Alpine Public School web site, so please stay tuned!
