Dear Parents and Guardians,

In collaboration with Waterloo Regional Police Service, Alpine PS went into a “hold and secure” as directed at approximately 10am. This meant that our doors were kept locked and our students kept indoors for a period of time. Please be advised that these were precautionary measures only and at no time were the students in imminent danger.

At approximately 11am we received notification from the Waterloo Regional Police Service that the situation had been resolved and the “hold and secure” was lifted.
